Please be extra vigilant when you are out doing shopping, withdrawing money etc… Be aware and alert to what is going on around you. Don’t be distracted by strangers. Make sure your car is locked before you walk away from it.
It is important that you report crimes – no matter how small – to your local SAPS. If you do not want to open a criminal case, then at least obtain an Incident Report Number (IR Number). SAPS need to keep statistics of crimes committed in their areas so that they can make valid appeals to Provincial and National SAPS for additional manpower and vehicles. Knight Security Solutions Operations staff cannot open a criminal case or report an incident on behalf of a client. You have to do it yourself – this is how the system works. KSS can guide and advise you, but the victim/owner has to deal with SAPS directly.
Cable theft is still a serious problem. Please report cable theft immediately to the KSS Control Room on 033 3305911. KSS are working alongside local SAPS and other key role players in combatting this serious crime.
