FreeMe Wildlife
FreeMe Wildlife Rehabilitation KZN was established in 2006 in response to the growing need for a dedicated Centre which could care for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife in KZN midlands.
Since then FreeMe has grown in reputation and now has permits from Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife for the rehabilitation of all wildlife in the area, including Threatened or Protected Species. FreeMe are able to handle nearly all the rehabilitation requirements of the area, handling between 800 and 1 000 cases per year.
We run a 24/7 emergency call out service and cover large distances, with the associated travel costs.
We also run an education programme for schools and community groups, but booking is essential.
Opening Hours are 08h00 to 16h00 weekdays and 08h00 to 12h00 weekends for the public
FreeMe are open 24/7 for admittances and collections and have a permanent staff member at the centre.
FreeMe take scholars for community service during our working hours.
