d a bunch of covers too, including music from Gypsy Kings, and some well-kn
own songs in the genre.\n \nViva Pan Latino!\n7:40 pm: Blackbird\nBased in
the KZN Midlands, Tanya Nicolson and Charles Webster bring you Blackbird –
a surprisingly poignant yet uplifting vocal acoustic duo. Their diverse rep
ertoire covers sultry jazz, upbeat folk, indie styles with soul, and twists
on contemporary classics. Having been in the acting and music world, profe

lk-rock rhythm guitar, has become a fixture of the local Midlands music sce
ne over the last decade or more. He provides the perfect platform for Tanya

t at Howick High School where her passion for music blossoms. At the age of
9, she embarked on her musical journey with piano lessons, but it was at 1
1 when she discovered her true musical love — the whimsical sound of the uk
ulele. The ukulele's got a sweet sound; you can't help but smile when playi
ng it, according to Emily. Her musical palate is broad, drawing inspiration
from diverse cultures around the globe. Currently, the Latin genre holds a
special place in her heart. This affinity is largely thanks to her mentor,
Howick's legendary Kech Sanchez, her music teacher, who has unveiled the m
agic of music to Emily.\nEmily's voice dances along to beautiful melodies,
and the ukulele serves as her trusted companion in spreading joy through mu
sic. Whether it's strumming along to a lively tune or crooning heartfelt ly
rics, Emily believes the ukulele holds the power to uplift any soul.\nABOUT
