This is a story of a phoenix rising from the ashes – literally. In 2007 the farm, its house and garden were destroyed by a savage fire that tore th rough the property and other farms nearby. The owners have gradually restor ed the farm, although it is still a work in progress. A large part of the g arden has been rehabilitated and filled with a combination of exotic and in digenous plants in the more formal area, while the preservation of the gras ses and wildflowers that bloom throughout the year is an important concern. The garden is both pleasing and different, infused with tranquillity and a positive ambience, despite its tragic history.
