Crane Census (24–27 July 2026), we now have the exact details on how you c
an get involved and safely report your sightings, as shared in the official
flyer image.
Whether you spot a majestic Blue Crane, an endangered
Grey Crowned Crane, or a rare Wattled Crane, here is exactly how you can ma
ke your count matter.
What to Record
When you spot a cran
e, please make sure to note down the following three key pieces of informat
ion:
Species: (Blue Crane, Wattled Crane, or Grey Crowned Crane)
Location: (As precise as possible)
Estimated Number: (And any other
interesting observations, like behavior or safety hazards)
How
to Submit Your Data
The Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) has made it
incredibly easy to submit your citizen science findings.
