Nutrition to manage Diabetes
Diabetes awareness is a global effort to educate about Diabetes.
A healthy diet helps control blood sugar levels, also known as blood glucose.
Insulin is the hormone that regulates blood sugar and its main job is to move glucose from the bloodstream into the body's cells to make energy.

"As a health coach and advocate for wholesome living, I find great joy in growing my own organic vegetables on my small farm, including leeks that I supply to our local organic shop. It’s a labor of love that not only nourishes my family but also supports our community. Diabetes Awareness reminds me of how vital nutrition is in managing and preventing diabetes. Incorporating fresh, organic produce into daily meals—like vibrant greens and nutrient-packed veggies —can make a significant difference in blood sugar control and overall health. It’s my mission to help others embrace simple, sustainable changes that lead to lasting well-being."
In her personal time, Lisa enjoys quiet moments to pray and meditate, going on adventures with her family and enjoys staying physically fit doing CrossFit, Mountain Biking, Paddling and Hiking.
