Ready to turn your weekend birding into a superpower for conservation?
Event: Birding with a Purpose!
Join BirdLife KZN Midlands this Wednesday for an inspiring session that proves your hobby is a vital piece of the scientific puzzle! 🧩🧪
Ever wondered how your bird sightings can help protect the species we love?
BirdLife KZN Midlands are thrilled to welcome Crystelle Wilson, who will dive into the world of Atlasing.
What’s it all about?
SABAP2 is a massive "Citizen Science" project where volunteers map bird distributions across Southern Africa. By recording what you see in specific geographic "pentads," you help build a data map that scientists, universities, and conservationists use to track bird health and habitat changes.
The Goal? To turn the map GREEN by ensuring every area has enough checklists!
It’s fun, it’s rewarding, and it gives every birding trip a meaningful mission.
