Further cementing Howick and the Karkloof as the trail running hub of the Midlands, we bring you the Karkloof Club Trail Run! Soak up the flowing single track, farmlands and Karkloof mistbelt grasslands on the SAPPI Karkloof trail network.

The SAPPI Karkloof Trail Network needs no introduction and we know that trail runners are in for a treat! Flowing, fast and runnable, the 10km and 20km routes will be an opportunity to test your speed and gain some distance.
The 5km provides a more relaxed morning out – it is an ideal entry level race and perfect for kids. Walkers are welcome on the 5km and 10km.

Entries open Friday, 28 June at 10am. Early bird entries (10% discount) on offer till 16 September 2019, with regular priced tickets available thereafter.

Pre-entries close Friday, 4 October and late entries will be available on the day at a surcharge of R50 (U18s exempt).

Registration kicks off at 6am, please arrive in good time for your entry to be processed.

If you kids are too young to take on the trails, we have you covered! Our KidZone will be up and at the ready to tend to your little ones (2yrs+) while keeping them entertained with fun activities. Please pack snacks sufficient for the duration of your run. Water and juice will be provided by us.

All races will start and end at the Karkloof Country Club that boasts great facilities – lush green grass, shady verandas, pump track for kids, jungle gym and hot showers!

Don’t hurry home, but rather bask in the vibes of the race village that will be fully stocked to cater for your needs. Flavoursome food, craft beverages and wholesome trail chatter – a perfect end to a fantastic morning of trails.
