Pond Life was the theme of the week and we took our Gr R and RR children to explore pond life at a local dam.
The children had input from a very knowledgeable resident Grandpa. They went armed with a Pond Life manual to help them identify some of the little creatures they saw.
They had great fun ticking off in their books as well as catching water bugs with their nets, buckets and rods. They walked to a hide to look out over the dam and listened to a story 'The Frog on the Log'.
After the busy morning they each munched a frog themed cupcake made by Faith's Kitchen. This was a most beneficial and educational outing.
