Fern Hill Hotel will host a fundraiser for Funda Nenja at the end of July, this will take the shape of an Art Exhibition, Auction and Gala Dinner with music by Charles Webster. Funda Nenja roughly means 'learning with your dog'.
It is a programme which aims to educate children and the community; care and responsibility for animals and at the same time develop respect and compassion for all living creatures through the medium of dog training classes.
The programme focuses on educating children while addressing animal welfare in partnership with uMngeni SPCA . Funda Nenja also focuses on child well-being by using the services of a social worker and promoting skills development for the youth.
