It would seem that bowlers need to be prepared for many changes in the weather – from extreme heat to gale force winds and heavy rain. This was definitely the case over the past week.
RESULTS: This past Tuesday morning we held the monthly J Leslie Smith Drawn 2-4-2 competition. The winners were Grace Abrahams and Charles Arter; runners up were Mark Taylor and Barbara Cuthill. The winners of the Plate Event were Colin Burden and Trevor Evans. Our thanks go to J Leslie Smith for their generous sponsorship and for the scrumptious carrot cake. The sponsors were represented by Kate McFarlane, conveyancing attorney and Kirsten Hughes, the new PRO for the company. Kirsten’s grandparents were members of UWBC so she is very happy to be associated with both JLS and UWBC.
