Howick Hospice patients ARV's and TB medications often have unpleasant side effects that are minimised when they have eaten something. In addition, many of our patients have very poor appetites due to their diseases. Morvite or Futurelife is an ideal product as they can make up just enough to tolerate and are able to use just water to mix the porridge so they are able to take their medications.
Our porridge stock is currently very low and we unfortunately do not know at this stage where we will be getting more from.
We would like to ask the community if they would assist with donations of Futurelife or Morevite so we can continue to distribute this much needed staple to our patients.
