Now that the risk of infection has lessened and he has finished his course of antibiotics, it was time to remove the bandage, glue the broken scute into place and allow the wounds to dry out and continue the healing process.
Why do we use "Super Glue"? Super glue is a superb way to seal and protect wounds while they are healing. It is a waterproof substance and is not permanent, leaving a clean and secure area. This is veterinary grade glue.
We are housing this Tortoise in a sterile environment, and giving him a varied diet to build up his immune system while he is on the road to recovery. We will be sure to keep you updated on his progress.
We love what we do, and how we do it.
