This week has seen fluctuating numbers on the greens. This is probably due to the icy winds which have been blowing across the Midlands after the snowfall on the southern berg. Despite the cold start to the day and the threat of loadshedding, on Saturday, an excellent number of bowlers turned out to play in the Greendale SuperSpar sponsored competition and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow bowlers and social members. Thanks to the foresight of some of the social members, prize giving took place by candlelight and the warmth of a gas heater.
RESULTS
The winners of the Competition (on count out) were Ed Sharpe, Malcolm Tait, Helen Emberton and James Holderness. The runners up were Tim Waring, Bernice Burden and Barry Fairbrother. Third place went to Ed Speed, Pat Ciro and Jeanette James.
