Love Howick and other partner entities are starting a Jars Of Hope campaign for the vulnerable in our community, with the looming food shortage. The Jars are filled up with nutritious, non-perishable soup ingredients, for example:
½ cup rice
½ cup soup mix
½ cup lentils or beans or splt peas
1 unwrapped stock cube
1 packet soup powder
Made-up Jars Of Hope or ingredients to make Jars can be dropped off at our Love Howick Offices located at 72 Main Street, Howick or brought to the various clean-up points happening around Howick on Saturday, 17 July (see our previous post for details). These Jars will be collected and distributed to verified needs by Love Howick and affiliated bodies.
