What a wonderful week we had at the club. The first competition played was sponsored by J Leslie Smith and Dr Alan Sara, There were a few exciting moments in this completion but the most exciting was the head which produced, see photo top left; Bowls by Kirsten Hughes and Malcolm Tait.
The photo below shows part of the meal offered to players who took part in The Last Man Standing fun comp organized by Kevin Palmer; Surf ‘n Turf for supper on Saturday. Thanks to our resident ‘chefs’ for this delectable feast.
RESULTS:
The J Leslie Smith/Alan Sara Comp was won by Mike Cain and Pat Norris. The second prize went to Colin Norris and Melanie Ross. The Plate Event was won by Colin Burden and Shayne Knott. Well done to all the winners and thank you to our sponsors.
What a fantastic, exciting afternoon we had on Saturday with a lot of laughter and good company. Bowlers and Hillbillies were on the greens for Last Man Standing which was won by Lisa Nagel. There was also a really great turnout for our surf and turf meal which was also accompanied by laughter and great company!! It was also most encouraging to welcome a few visitors from other clubs and yet another prospective new member who has recently relocated to our town from Dundee. The Hillbillies are a group of energetic, hard-working younger members and prospective bowlers who have lowered the average age of membership while raising the level of fun and enjoyment.
