Women in Business South Africa lead by CEO Nompilo Gumede is hosting a Business Funding Masterclass on June 29, 2024, aiming to empower entrepreneurs in South Africa. Gathering a diverse group of over 50 attendees, including startup founders, small business owners, investors, sponsors and industry experts. The event will cover topics on compliance, grant funding, incubation programs, and resources that can assist you to acquire funding. The main objective of the event is to address the critical challenge that many entrepreneurs face: the difficulty in accessing business funding. By bridging the gap between funders and entrepreneurs, and educating them on how to successfully apply for funding, we can foster economic growth and independence.
Although this initiative is women-led, we recognize that funding is a challenge faced by all entrepreneurs. Therefore, male entrepreneurs are also invited to join this event to gain valuable insights and support.

The event highlights will include panel discussions with funding stakeholders such as SEDA, IDC, KZN Growth fund, First National Bank, testimonials from entrepreneurs some which have received over a million in grant funding, masterclass on compliance, how to get your business funding ready, guest speakers Aadila Kajeer, the founder of Padelpmb and serial entrepreneur, technology innovator and thought leader in the funding sector, Darlene Menzies, CEO of Finfind – South Africa’s leading online access to finance solution.
