December was busy, mostly with poaching and stock theft incidents. Then out of town stolen vehicles coming through the uMngeni area, needing some attention.
Incident report
06 Dec
Clarendon PMB
Report of a stolen bakkie received from Pmb. I searched cameras for possible travel up to uMngeni. No activations. On 07 Dec I was informed that Mi7 had located the stolen vehicle later that night in Pmb.
06 Dec
Hilton N3
I received a message on Pmb group about a female stuck on N3 at accident. I contacted the father for more information to make sure no Medical was necessary. HRRG group members did attempt to help but vehicle was on wrong side of highway to get to them. The father did contact me back to let me know that a tow truck had managed to get to the scene and was able to remove vehicle to a safe area in Hilton.

Dargle
A vehicle used for poaching activated cameras and the info was shared to UCSI SAPS response group. The vehicle was stopped by Ballid members in Lower Dargle with dogs, Taken to Howick SAPS but as there was no contraband let go with a warning.

Curry’s Post
Report received of poaching in Curry’s Post area. I shared information to the UCSI Poaching group and then searched for a possible vehicle involved. A possible vehicle was spotted in camera.. With the influx of community members into the area it seems the poachers failed in catching animals.

uMngeni / Free State
A reported stolen trailer keeps activating the cameras. After some searching I eventually managed to get hold of the owner of the business. I gave the owner information so that he could get the trailer removed off the system as it had been incorrectly reported to SAPS as stolen.
18 Dec
Hilton
A vehicle involved in hit and run activated the cameras. The info was shared to UCSI SAPS response group. Thanks to AET, Magma, Life security and Enigma security the vehicle was located at Life Hospital. Driver and complainant, matter dealt with at Townhill SAPS.
28 Dec
Mpophomeni
A vehicle, involved in Attempted kidnapping in Pmb. The vehicle activated cameras through Mpophomeni to N3 on the R617. The info was shared to UCSI SAPS response group. The vehicle was stopped in Pmb by NS Security, SAPS and Flying squad members.
28 Dec
Howick
A vehicle reported as stolen activated a camera. The info was shared to UCSI SAPS response group. Thanks to Knight security member the vehicle was taken to Howick SAPS who impounded the vehicle.
