A farewell message from Adrienne, our founder member and general manager: Goodbyes make one think and reflect on the journey that brings one to that point. On Friday I experienced a bittersweet goodbye to the amazing dog school team as I prepare to leave South Africa to join family in Perth, Australia.
For close to 16 years Funda Nenja has been my passion and my purpose..... from the humble beginnings of what was planned to be a small holiday programme, and which evolved into a vibrant One Welfare organisation that is recognised both nationally and internationally as a successful community change maker.
I am most grateful for the incredible privilege of being part of the team that shared the vision of creating a compassionate community where kindness to both animals and people was nurtured using dog training classes as an entry point.
Heartfelt thanks to all who have played a part, big or small, in supporting Funda Nenja over the years, enabling the organisation to foster social change and positively impact the lives of many dogs and their humans.
I have absolute confidence in the continued leadership of Funda Nenja, and in Sandra Inggs who will be taking over many of my responsibilities. The organisation will undoubtedly continue to thrive and be an example of a holistic approach to welfare that benefits both animals and people. I look forward to witnessing Funda Nenja reach even greater heights in the years to come.
Thank you one and all.
