A heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined Heritage House Preschool, and the Lions River Honorary Officers for a magical Nocturnal Animal Night Walk at the WESSA Umngeni Valley Nature Reserve on Saturday, 12 April.
It was an unforgettable evening under a clear, starry autumn sky, with a glowing full moon lighting the way. Over 40 enthusiastic children—and even more eager adults—set off into the night, torches in hand and headlamps on, ready to discover the hidden world of nocturnal wildlife.
The walk was filled with wonder as the Honorary Officers guided groups through the reserve, spotting all sorts of night creatures.
The air was alive with excitement, the comforting crackle of braai fires, delicious food, and warm conversation.
A huge thank you to the Lions River Honorary Officers for sharing their knowledge and making the night such a success.
Keep an eye out for the next adventure with Heritage House Preschool and the Lions River Honorary Officers—you won’t want to miss it!
