Cape Parrot Birding Event – Join Us in the Dargle Forests!
We’re heading into the beautiful Dargle forests in search of the critically endangered Cape Parrot — and we’d love for you to join us!

Sunday morning, 3rd May
The Cape Parrot is South Africa’s only endemic parrot species and is listed as Critically Endangered. These vibrant green beauties rely heavily on indigenous yellowwood forests - making their conservation more important than ever.
We’re looking for volunteers to spend a few hours with us wandering through the forest, listening for their distinctive calls, and observing sightings. No expert skills needed, just enthusiasm and a love for nature!
