Working with ToPS Species (Threatened or Protected Species).
This Blue Crane male, hand Raised at FreeMe Wildlife, was ready for release.
We got the call from Brent (EKZNW) that a large "floater flock" of around 80 birds had been spotted at Hlatikulu in the KZN Midlands...it was time to move...quickly!
A special thanks to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and the Endangered Wildlife Trust for all their assistance with rehabilitation, ringing and release of this beautiful Blue Crane.
We love what we do, and how we do it.
