In our continuous endeavour to create and foster a safe and harmonious environment for learners at Howick High School, we are currently running an Anti-Bullying campaign.
On 22 July, our Diversity Committee held the first ever 'Hard Talk' at our school, where learners were invited to engage in meaningful dialogue concerning the issue of bullying within the school environment. It has empowered both the Diversity Committee and students to foster mutual understanding and has demonstrated an enhanced appreciation for diverse perspectives.
For National Anti-Bullying Week, we hosted both Dr Penelope Alison and David Allen - Professional Speaker & Author to address our learners on 6 August. These presentations aim to empower our learners with the skills and tools necessary to make them the kindest versions of themselves.
Our Grade 8 learners produced anti bullying week posters which are displayed around the school to generate further awareness.
