Groundcover Leather Company, situated 12 km from Howick on the Curry's Post road, was established in 1990 by Justin & Amanda McCarthy. Groundcover's handmade leatherwork has become legendary on the Meander. Opened in 1994, our showroom is a restored iron and wood farmhouse prefabricated in England 100 years ago. Set in beautiful surroundings and superb mountain views, it offers much more than a fine shopping experience. On permanent exhibition on the front lawn is local artist Abbo Hall’s exquisite bronze sculpture of Grimm’s The Elves and the Shoemaker. Open daily from 9am - 5pm.
